What's my V worth?

I've got an 85 v20 cuddy I'm contemplating selling. It's got a 1.6 sea drive on it, so it's a great bracket candidate. The sea drive still gets me from A to B everytime with no problems, estimated hours around 400. Before me, the boat was rarely used and it sat covered in my grandfathers yard for about 8 years.

I am thinking of selling it because I want a center console.

The hull is in great shape. The motor runs well, could use to have the carbs rebuilt. I've never done a compression check on it, so i'm not sure what it is..

There is a 3/4 enclosed bimini top with clear side curtains, but it needs a slight repair in the front.

There is a soft spot in the removable floor section above the fuel tank where the round access hatch is. The rest of the boat is solid. As I said, the boat remained out of the water most of its life.

This will come with a good trailer

Any idea on what I could ask for or potentially sell this for? I can take some pics soon and provide more info if needed.

Any pics? What condition is the hull in? Transom solid? Trailer details, brakes, double axle, etc.

Did you set up a Gallery?...pictures will sell it like description never will...

Maybe somebody here w/a Center Console is looking for a cuddy...might be a swap in the making??...

I haven't taken any pics since I got it, I plan to do that soon.

The hull is solid, the transom looks/feels solid. Small soft spot on the floor like i mentioned. Can easily be fixed by just removing that hatch. The boat is all there. It's a 25 year old boat and could use new wiring, which I plan to tackle this winter if I keep it. I had always wanted to put a bracket on with a motor but could never justify the expense while the motor that is on it keeps on running anyway.

The boat is located in Center Moriches, NY and if I decide I am going to sell it I'll let anyone here take a look first.

It will come with a single axle trailer, no brakes. Trailer in excellent shape needing nothing.

It's great for a first boat or a really solid platform to start a project on. I would optimally like to get $2500-3000 for it, but I understand that may be asking a bit too much in this market, right?

My neighbor would sell me his late 80's Mako 20 CC in even better shape with a mid 90's evinrude (runs great) and a good trailer for $5000, and this would be financing a chunk of that.

Unless someone has a v20 CC out there???

I've got an '84 V-20, cc-step lift/150 Johnny and a mediocre trailer-dual axle, boat in moderate - good shape when I got it. Most of what was wrong was cosmetic. Paid $2500.00- and I thought that was a good deal. It was useable ...turn the key and go. Had the carbs rebuilt as it sat for a few years on the boat lift.:sun:
