Porgies
The wife wants some fresh porgies for the freezer and because of my mom's illness and passing late August we did not fish saltwater last year. Tomorrow's the day, boats on the truck, and loaded for a day of catching dinner plates on a local reef. The blues are everywhere but way to greasy for my taste. Porgies, Blackfish and Sea Bass will end up in the freezer. Pictures tomorrow .......................

Yes were are out of the Niantic River in Waterford and fishing Bartlett's reef, it's about a 30 minute ride out. It rounds out to be a hour drive to the launch from home, it be a lot less if the state finishes Route 11 to New London but it been stalled since the 60's .............

Here"s a bunch of pictures from yesterday. The state launch at Waterford Ct, the RT 156 bridge, the Niantic River railroad bridge, and "nuclear fishing" in front of Millstone nuclear power plant.
