Today finally after 2 years got the V-20 out for a ride, fishing out on Sound next week. I had a problem with the Merc after we 1st started it up after all that time with a popping in the exhaust, had to get the carbs rebuilt and fuel pump now it's runs like a top, running a 19p prop on the 150 WOT@4600 rpm today after getting the work done WOT I looked down 5300 rpm to much? I don't know were the extra RPM came from but it snappy as all heck, it ran good before but not like it does now.
Question I did not run above short burst @4400 rpm is possible the hub is slipping or is it time to go to a different pitch prop?

From one Blue to another - congrats!

On the RPM's, 5300 sounds more like what it should be. I don't know about the merc 150's but the Yamaha 150 2-stroker should run somewhere b/t 5000 - 5500 WOT depending on prop.

Glad you are back on the water! I know the feeling well.

5300-5600 would be where I would set it up to hit at WOT if it was mine.

x's2 ferm might agree with me here that you would probably benefit from getting 2" of pitch knocked out and the blades reworked if its sst.

did you have the engine trimmed out when you were running it WOT? Your extra rpm might be there, you just have to find it with the trim. 19P sounds about right, my V with a 200 Merc has a 21P.

That was trimmed out. It had been so long I had forgotten about the higher RPM I was use to my Sea Ray red-lined at 4600 rpm. I can't wait for the saltwater fishing Friday, my son put the top back on the V-20 we never ran with the top on before..........
