Vid of my boat & buddy's boat fishing

Here's a dolphin trip from last year on my boat. At hatteras. We caught several. Also caught some flounder. We got some good video of us running out to the "ledge".

This is recent video fishing on my friend Chad's boat in June.
There is no sound because youtube blocked the sound due to copyright law - guns and roses welcome to the jungle plays in the background.

BR,

Anyone put together the video from our last trip? The "feeding" and double hook-up of the Cobia? I would like to see that again.:sun:

We've got to get our film editing crew in gear! There is just no excuse for such a delay. We could be making money off that vid by now. :fam:

Nice Blue Man, very nice. How did it turn out pulling that treble out?

Blue_Runner 08-06-2009 11:09 AM

Thanks Willy.

Ah, the dreaded treble. I'm glad it wasn't me!

It was in there at a funky angle so the "yank it out w/ fishing line" trick wasn't going to work. But lucky for him the point of the hook was not too far under the skin. I used an exacto knife to cut the skin and expose the tip. Then he was able to cut the rest of the hook off to where FlyFishin could grab the tip with needle nose pliers to pull it out.

We did not have a survival kit (Maker's Mark) on the boat, unfortunately.

The joke of the day was, "Fish - 1, Humans - 6." :you:

Nice. In the first video it seems you guys troll pretty fast.

Blue_Runner 08-19-2009 11:51 AM

Around 6.5 mph w/ ballyhoo 3.5 mph w/ dead cigars. Varies upon current of course. Live bait trolling as slow as the boat will go, or just drift.

I'm ready to get back out there, I know that much!
