Thats still a whole lot of pennies for a motor that needs rebuilding.

Not if you had one that needed a lower unit, or a T&T unit, or electronics, or other good parts?

My bad AIR. In the need for glass's. Just reread it. Thought it was $575.00
$275.00 for a parts motor is a great deal.

So when I sold my 2001 Evinrude Ficht 150 (w/70hrs) with a perfectly operational lower unit and tilt&trim for $300, I got ripped off? Do not tell me, I know the answer!

All:

Okay then what is a good price for selling a motor that needs to be rebuilt? I have a 1994 Merc 150 2.0L complete with remote oil tank, all electrical components, trim and tilt, lower unit, cowlings - everything as it was before number 1 cylinder went south. Compression is between 95 and 100 on the other five, but #1 shows zero compression. What do you think I can I expect to sell it for without having to part it out?

Thats the kicker, you'll get more if you part it out. IF everything is good, you may get 700 or so selling it compleate? Just a guess...
