Re: Johnson 175 $275
Thats still a whole lot of pennies for a motor that needs rebuilding.

Re: Johnson 175 $275
Not if you had one that needed a lower unit, or a T&T unit, or electronics, or other good parts?
|
Re: Johnson 175 $275
yup lower unit is worth more than that...

Re: Johnson 175 $275
My bad AIR. In the need for glass's. Just reread it. Thought it was $575.00
$275.00 for a parts motor is a great deal. |
Re: Johnson 175 $275
Yeah, priced any lower units lately? I know CB has and it taint no fun is it Chum? BTW did you get that fixed?

Re: Johnson 175 $275
So when I sold my 2001 Evinrude Ficht 150 (w/70hrs) with a perfectly operational lower unit and tilt&trim for $300, I got ripped off? Do not tell me, I know the answer!

Re: Johnson 175 $275
All:
Okay then what is a good price for selling a motor that needs to be rebuilt? I have a 1994 Merc 150 2.0L complete with remote oil tank, all electrical components, trim and tilt, lower unit, cowlings - everything as it was before number 1 cylinder went south. Compression is between 95 and 100 on the other five, but #1 shows zero compression. What do you think I can I expect to sell it for without having to part it out? kamikaze |
Re: Johnson 175 $275
Thats the kicker, you'll get more if you part it out. IF everything is good, you may get 700 or so selling it compleate? Just a guess...

Re: Johnson 175 $275
kamikaze...$500-700 is average price for motors needing rebuild.
