How should I fix this?? (pics)
My boat has a spot on it that was there when i got it. And I need to get it taken care of. How do you guys think i should fix this? Thanks in advance.

you're going to need to remove the rub rail to that point then grind that back both sides of damage 6 to 8 inches then get all the damaged glass out and cleaned up, then reglass the patch starting with smaller patch, each layer getting about 2 inches larger until you have the complete area ground patched. next line sand smooth feather out with either fairing putty or resin and micro ballons. sand smooth again and paint that area to match.

west epoxy has a pretty good basic repair manual, its about 6 or 7 bucks at west marine.

I just fixed a spot 4 times that size on my buddys V on the bow. It took a little time but turned out great. Follow Skools advise, He wouldnt steer you wrong! I cut out and reglassed, sanded smooth and applied four layers of color matched gelcoat, sanded, buffed and polished. Turned out great!

After you remove the bad f-glass, make sure it is VEEEERYYY dry before you apply the new resin, or it won`t adhere well. Cracks soak water over time and it takes a while to dry internally.
