Navigation lights

I am really sick of the front lights (nav lights(red and green lights) that you buy from West Marine and such. For the rediculous price they charge for this painted plastic garbage, you would think there would be a minimum of quality there. I haven't seen any quality, and I am sick of it! I want to buy a set of nav lights and be done with it for at least 5 years. Does anyone know of any suppliers that offer lights that actually work?

Thanks,
Rob

I'm in the process now of converting my original light fixtures with led lights. Fortunately I have a connection so it's not costing me anything but you might want to look into something similar. They run forever and use minimal power.

i have the same ones as reel and have no problems with them. regular bulbs. the only LED conversion i have done is on trailer lights, and i have been very disappointed with the results. after about 6 months of dunking, the leds start to go out. start out with 16 to 18 per side and end up with 4 to 5. when we go to the key every other year, i have to buy a new pair..

My father switched his over years ago and has had no problems so far so that was my inspiration.
