can i leave my boat uncovered?

i am starting work again on my project 20 center console. i have the console out (in my garage) and there is now an opening in the floor for the rigging ,etc. i am removing the tarp i had on the boat for the winter and would like to leave it uncovered as i work on it.

is there any problem in doing this .. i really see no way of sealing up the rigging hole cut in the floor that will hold up .. also do not want to install the tarp after working on it every time.

as long as i have the boat tipped back and let the water run out, do you see any problems doing this?

thanks

As long as water has a chance to dry out, there's usually not a problem...it's the water that gets in places like that and STAYS that causes a problem...I would't worry about tryin to SEAL it off everytime you work on it, but I would cover it when rain is expected...and leave it open to dry out otherwise...

How bout some pics of your project...sounds interesting...:pic:
