Blooper !!!, cost me a prop and the...

Yeap, I have finally done it !!!
Murphy`s Law at its best.
Left the flushing "ear muffs" mounted ( forgot ) and went riding, I though I had hit something, but after looking at the prop and thinking a bit, I realized what I had done.
Luckily the motor did not overheated. Or at least it still runs normal.
Now, as a sugestion, I have an Idea. I will attach a cord and a flag or something, to the "ear muffs", that I can leave inside the boat while the muff is mounted. Sore of like the "Remove Before Flight" flags we use on Aircraft.
Please pardon me, my IQ is average, but my memory capacity is full, now you can pick on me, I deserve it !!! jejeje

We all do stuff like that from time to time Juan. Don't beat yourself up because of it. Just live and learn.

Sorry to get a chuckle at your expense Juan, but that is kind of funny. Kind of like the time I could not get my V off the trailer at the launch ramp because I had forgotten to remove the tie down straps at the stern.

I did that too Nipper - I hit reverse so hard it broke the straps. A testament to the strength of the transom on my old '75 V20. I saw the broken straps when I parked the trailer. OH, SO THAT'S WHY IT WOULDN'T COME OFF!! :you:

i did that once with my dad's v-23 with twin yam 150's. the muff was actually still on when i got to the launch and i didnt notice untill i put the boat on the trailer.
