V-20 Weight Increase?

Hi Guys! Could someone tell me, which year the dry weight of the V-20 increased from 1,920 lbs. to 2,300 lbs. Was it in 1988 or 1989. Also, what changes were made to the boat to account for that weight increase? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

According to the Wellcraft website the 1988 was 1920 lbs and the 1989 through 1992 was 2300 lbs .....no idea why, never noticed that before.

At that time WELLCRAFT started selling there boats as package deals WITH the outboard on them. The weight increased by 380 lbs which is roughly the weight of a 150-200 HP O/B of that day. Also when you look after the weight it will say O/B denoting with the outboard, and also you'll see in the catalog where they listed engine options at that time.

that's what I initially thought when I saw the 1989 spec sheet as it just said outboard . but the 90 and 91 spec sheets show 2300 lbs and say "o/b, no engine" but then the 92 just says outboard again. I wonder if they screwed up? cant figure how else they could add almost 400 lbs.
