I'd like a Wasque 26, please.
One of my favorite boats, and someday I just might have one.
Was in Charleston last weekend and stopped by a marina, saw this boat which I have seen there for several years. Sad to say its condition . . . well, let's just say it has looked better. :-/ Still, I lusted after it. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...t/P5050888.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...t/P5050889.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...t/P5050892.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...t/P5050893.jpg Fishing, cruising, overnighting, I could do it all aboard one of these . . . and with style. ;) |

Nice boat to be sure, Pipe...but ya'd need a tender to take the dogs to the beach ;) ...

Re: I'd like a Wasque 26, please.
Y'know, Reel, I seldom take the dogs by way of boat to sandbars, etc. because it's just too dang difficult to get them back into the boat. Do you do that with your girl?

I'd love to ride in one. *Nice boat! Can they be trailered?

Pipe, are these current pictures?
I am confused, you say that it has looked better. I think it looks just fine in these pics. |
Re: I'd like a Wasque 26, please.
Trailered? I doubt it. :-/
These pics were taken just last Saturday. If you look at the first two pics, everywhere you see white on the blue hull paint it's been knocked into the dock or something -- only a year or two ago those marks weren't there. Also the wood, anywhere it's exposed to the sun, especially at the stern, is in serious need of attention (not that I have room to talk in that department :-X ). The boat used to be immaculate. I heard it was for sale a year or two ago -- maybe the new owner only has feeshin on his mind. |

I really like the salty, downeast look. If I can't have a boat that was built in Maine, at least I'd like to have one that looks like it could have been. ;) But that's going to be waaay down the line, if at all. For now, I'm very happy with the PD. It suits my needs/lifestyle/wallet much better than any 26-32 footer. |

She's still young enough to leap up onto the bow-deck from the sand ... and w/the wide open transom, sometimes I kick the motor up and walk the stern into shallow water..."Kennel up!!" and she's in the boat ;) ... |
