'Bout an hour and a half ago I'm watchin' the Heritage finishin' up down at Hilton Head..Luke Donald is finishin' up on the 18th when the camera pans around w/boats in the background and there sits a purdy lil blue-bottomed V20 w/a dark-colored OB on the stern...looked like the forward hatch was shoved open and some questionable characters aboard...Hmmm...:zip:

Reel, I can't say for sure if you saw us or another V-20, but we were there, with the blue top up. Just me and the wifey and one of the dogs on the ol' PD, but there was another V rafted up with a second boat, and they seemed to have a nice little party going on. It was one of the better Heritage tourneys to go to by boat, as high tide was late afternoon and there was plenty of water. I took a long look around and estimated about 70 boats there at peak. Two groups of about 6-7 boats rafted up, with a lot of folks on board that I doubt barely knew there was a golf tourney going on. It was quite the spectacle. ;-)

Rats!!...thought you and PD had made some network TV time...the V I saw didn't have the top up, so musta been the other one you mention...as matter of fact, went back and looked at your Gallery (whadda PURDY THANG!!)...the V I saw definately had upswept line at the bow on their bottom paint...lookin' at yours, it follows the water line and doesn't turn up (like yours better)
...anyway, glad you were there and hadda big time and the wifey and the pooch...sounds like the Block House Steeplechase Horse Races we used to go to here in Tryon...most people never realized their were actually horse races goin' on...:party:

Yeah, I wanted to get closer to that V and say hi, but it was kind of tight in that area so I stayed clear. I took a lot of pics both days, so when I get some spare time I'll post 'em up.

Maybe you can see him another time...yeah...let's see some pics from "Fantasy Island"...LOL!!...:sun:

Next time you ought to raft up with the boat on the far right in the 5th picture. Bikini babes and the name of the boat is "pole dancer."

I think you're right, about the V-20. Funny thing about the CBS Sports flag is that when I saw it I said now THAT boat'll be on TV, but when I watched the tournament coverage later (I recorded it) I don't believe I ever saw that boat or group of boats. And Alice putted around the area for an hour or two, with me close by thinking that she'd surely end up on TV and maybe the PD could ride to fame in her wake, but they never showed her, either. I can't figure out their criteria for getting a shot, but if you're a wind surfer, you're golden.

Yes, we laughed really hard about that name, and those girls were shakin' it pretty good for a while. They never got on TV, either, but I bet several cameras, from the ground and the air, were trained on them for the benefit of the guys in the control booth!

You need to go ahead and start workin' on a good ZOOM lens for next year :hide:
