Fuel Sender/Fuel gauge
Was figuring out my wiring this weekend looking into what works, what doesn't and why.....Once I finally got DC voltage restored to the fuse blocks at the helm I notice that I have what I am calling a "momentary" toggle switch on the dash that when pushed forward and held, the fuel gauge registers. When I let go of it the fuel gauge shuts down.
Is this normal? |
Depends on what you got or want.
Mine has a selector switch for starboard or port tank with only one gauge. You sure that ain't for the horn?? |
I have seen boats set up like that before but could not figure out why it was rigged that way. Mine comes on with the key and cuts off with the key.

never had a working gauge in any of my boats and still don't. They are such a pain in the a!! just fill up after a few trips and get a feel for how much gas you use, before you know it you will know how much each trip uses with in a gal.
