Is it worth it ?? Seems to be a good price with a 225.

That's no 225, that be the infamous 250 YAMAHA 76 degree carb motor. That is said to be the THIRSTIEST V-6 2 stroke EVER built. I know they are decent engines, but the OX-66 is regarded MUCH higher for reliability and runing costs. Although them 250 YAMAHA's bring almost $4K by themselves used.

I remeber somebody here saying that they can burn upwards of 30+ gallons per hour of fuel under a hard load to keep itself from burning down. I know that a friend of mine swapped out his 250 carb motor and went to a 225 4 stroke. He went from using 70-80 gallons per day fishing to using 22-30 gallons a day making the same run.

not a big deal, but can you have a tandem tilt trailer?

I think that is the same motor my buddy's GW Gulfstream had on it. The one I was talking about in Airslot's post. Thirsty indeed!

30 GPH! That is really thirsty. I'd be looking at something with sails after that trip to the gas station. My 24 Grady White with twins burned 17 gph at 4000 rpm cruise @ about 28 mph and I thought that was bad. One of my buddies considered my Grady White but settled on a 23 Gulfstream that looked showroom, he's got twin 200's that use A LOT OF GAS at cruise. He got rid of a V20 with twin 85 Yamaha's so he's probably getting a real shock at the fuel dock.
