Rubbermaid 150 quart marine coolers

I picked up one of these at Sam's Club last night for $57 and some change. I thought it was a really good deal. If you need one, get them now because they will probably go fast once spring hits.

The WAL-MART by me has IGLOO MARINE 120 quart coolers for $56+tax.

Hmmm, that would probably have been a better bet. That 150 quart is kind of huge!

nipper, does it have a split lid? like the old gotts had

I have the Walmart one and it has a split top, But I bought another with wheels on it from there that does not have the split top. Tuff hauling 200 pounds of fish by yourself, the wheels work great!!

I use it for the fluke, The Bass go in floor boxes with ice and I use totes at the fish house, and transfer to them into, the guys come out with fork lift to bring them in for you.

I use a smaller cooler for food and drink, big ones for fish only.

do any of ya'll have the coolers with cushions on top, how do they hold up? I'm thinking of using a couple on my V in place of seats, just wondering if they will hold up, or which brands are better than the others

The rubbermaid I bought does not have the split lid. I had an old rubbermaid which did, and I liked that a lot better.

I had one before they were pretty good. I just hand them a floating seat PFD and let them sit on that now.

Hey Nipper, I bought the same cooler at Sams club 2 years ago for about the same price. It holds up ok but ice dosent seem to last very long in it. You just have to pack it FULL of ice before you begin your trip. I wash out and freeze gallon milk jugs and keep in the deep freezer, they last a long time and help to fill up that big *** cooler. Saves a little on buying all that crushed ice too.
