Rebuilt my transom, need help on bracket angle!!!

I have a 1988 V-20 Fisherman and it had a bad transom and about 4 feet of the stringers. All is fixed now and me and my buddy are looking for a transom bracket or plans to make one. I need the degree of angle that the transom tilts back on a OMC SEADRIVE type installation. I will also need the height that a mercury motor needs to mounted at if it is a 25 inch shaft motor? If you will send answers to [email protected] thanks, Jason B.

I have forgot the angle?? But make sure you get a floatation bracket will be a big help!

The height of the motor depends on the motor, 20" for a 20 and a 25 for a 25. You are to add 1 inch for every 12 you go back.
Try to stay as close to the boat as you can, makes for better performance.

Keep asking your question right here, you will get more responce from some very important people!! Well maybe not Chumbucket?

you need to get with bigshrimpin, he's the bracket master, he even built his own. check over on classicseacraft.com and do a seach for bracket conversions, there are a couple that have been done on here, but there are a ton of them on the seacraft site. Lots of good info that can be applied to your V

You should be able to find it by searching on here.......I want to say 13 degrees, but I am not positive.

This one says 15 AND 13.

This one seems to agree on 13.

Here's the thread where bigshrimpin posted instructions on how to measure your transom angle.

grab some cardboard and start mocking the angles up, then take measurements on the height
