 87 V project

A freind of mine is torn between prting this one out or selling it as is. I'll post pics in the morning. Its an 87 I/O set up. No motor, or drive. transom plate(Merc) is still in the boat. Transom looks ok, soft spot in the floor around the back to back seats, port side window busted out(neighbors kid). Needs a bath real bad, trailer is fare, needs some work, but it appears solid. Rod boxes are intact. Would be a good project for some one that has a bad hull/good engine. Asking $750, located in Charleston, SC

Spare...is that boat out off Folly Rd near a soccer complex?...
I can see my Honda hangin' on a bracket on that FULL transom...just don't have the bucks to jump into it right now...for that money though, I oughtta just get it and store it til I can do something w/it...hmmmm...:head: Ya think that trailer's up to a trip to Spartanburg??... |

it might take tires and bearings, but the frame looks good enough

 Reel, isn't your Honda a 20"er?
Hate to rain on the thought parade, but many discussions went on when I was looking for a V about a 25" motor being the minimum to put on a bracket because of the "dunking" issue. That's why I got an open transom with my 20" Johnzuki. :head: |

Yer readin' my mind, RB...since the hull is at such a good price (IF I were to do this...BIG IF) I'd be lookin' into findin' a long mid-section to replace the shorty...I'd even consider a 30"er to REELY get 'er outta the water:sun:
