Politics we can all agree on, I think?
 

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of EVERY other commercial on TV or on internet sites being for some politician? It seems as though every election year it gets worse and worse. Why don't these A--HOLES do something good with all this money and use it in some programs or to help enact new programs or bills to help rather than to make us all sick to our stomachs to turn the TV or computer on until after NOVEMBER 4th. We are in the middle of an economic crisis that could turn into another great depression at any moment, and these NUMBNUTS are spending BILLIONS, if not TRILLIONS on worthless mud slinging ads. Why don't they just state the FACTS about what they plan to do, have a bunch of debates with viewer questions, let em campaign a bit, and then let the people decide. All of this slush money going into the media and groups like ACORN could fix ALOT of our current economic issues.

Rant over, I'll step off my soap box now. Just had to vent for a minute. After watching the game on the telly with my other half, I couldn't stand to hear another political ad.

Ferm, we do agree. They always say that they're going to run a clean campaign but it always ends up a mud slinging contest.

This is one we quite agree on!!...The Reelapeelin Bill would limit campaignin' to just two weeks or less prior to the election and limit campaign spending to...hmmm...$1.23 US...it would also enact term limits (1) and throw all the lobbyists outta Washington tomorrow...:fam:

i believe the U.K. has a very short campaigning season, i need to go and verify this.
