Arrow cresting
While trying to occupy myself and trying not to go nuts with my injurys I decided to do something Ive always wanted to try. I made me an arrow cresting machine from a sewing machine motor. It turned out pretty good.
Here are a few pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/100_3711.jpg Before the silver pin striping http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/100_3712.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/100_3713.jpg Afterward the silver Its kinda hard to see, but maybe yall can get the idea. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/100_3717.jpg Ill get some better pics with a different lens after I get em fletched up. Not bad for my first attempt I think. |
WOW you were bored......:nut:
looks good though. great idea..... |
please explain the difference between cresting an arrow and painting an arrow.
|
and what is the advantage of having a beautiful arrow?
|
Makes the blood look a lot neater!!
|
CTT, the advantage is that it makes douche bags ask stupid questions. :nut:
Plus its cool as hell. :sun: |
Keep up this thread, Stink.
I got over a dozen I need to refletch, be sure and show the tool you use. Don't guess they have made reflective paint available? |
Tsubaki, I will.
I use an arizona EZ fletch...have for years and love it. I have one for carbon arrows with a right helical twist. Like this one: http://www.ezfletch.com/carbon.gif With that said I stripped em back off today...changed a few things up abit for no obvious reason. http://www.aldeer.com/al_ubb/NonCGI/biggrin.gif I am letting em dry for a few days before fletching. I also used some better paint. I didnt like the softness of the model paints. I got another half dozen I can hunt with till I finish em up and test em out. Bow season opens tomorrow here! Woooohoooo!!!!:sun: |
Stink are you good to go? If so, good luck and be careful! Billy Mac
