1991 V-20 For Sale

I have a 1991 V-20 Steplift that I purchased new and have kept the boat in as new condition. The seats are new 2 years ago, the bimini top is new this year with a stainless frame, the engine was replaced in 2002 with a 200hp HPDI Yamaha, the fiberglass and gelcoat including the bottom of the boat is maintained as new with no scratches and shines as new. The boat comes with a full cover. The boat has been under cover since new. The rubrail was new a couple of years ago, the fish rod panels were new last year and were awlgripped so they don't deteriorate. The gauges are new this last year. I originally paid $22000.00 for the boat with a 1992 200hp yamaha when new. In 2002 I paid $11,000.00 for the new motor. I've spent at least another $10-20K over the years maintaining the boat as new. I'm asking $15,000.00 as a starting point. that's a nice boat...a little pricey, and no mention of a trailer....

It is sweet, and it has been posted on here before with the exact same comment, I believe he lowered the price now.

1991 V-20

Guys this is the boat I was going to pursue just before Reel found the 96 V-21 in his backyard....I think I even talked to the broker the boat was listed with down there in Fla. I had looked at several and I mean several V's before headin down to S.C. and this was definatley a finalist..........If Reel had'nt found the 21 I have now I most certainly would have this 20 parked in my barn, no doubt. Its a very clean rig, not cut up and kept original by the original owner.....price that engine and consider its condition and $15,000 is not so bad...just my 2 pennies :) Dave

Motor wort $5000 to $5500 by the Blue Book, Hull says $3500 to $4000 including trailer and motor, but that would be a 91 motor and trailer I am sure.
So take that the hull is perfect, and give the low $3500 w/trailer, and add $5500 for the motor you have $9000

So you have $6000 difference, add bimini and what else he has to offer and you have a good start to try to figure what you should pay.

But she is a nice one!! Who ever gets it will be competition for Lumber as the best kept V20!

I wish mine looked like that again. She is sweet. Price is too high, I agree $10,000-$12,000 would seem reasonable for an asking price.

She shore is PURTY! I agree that $10K would be a fair price, but his asking price may be that high to weed out all the tire kickers in this crappy market. You can ask whatever you want, but getting it is another story. I agree though that $15K for a 17 year old boat with 6 year old power is too high. Espescially when I seen brand new boats at the boatshow this weekend going for less than $30K in this size range of center console. I was asking $9K for my flat's boat with an NADA of $11K on it and a BUC value of $12.5K on it, yet I only got $7750 after MONTHS of listing it and 2 times on EBAY.
