Boating Trivia...

Okay,

Name the boat, name the guy at the helm, and name the passengers.

J/K i have no clue:zip:

The boat is a popular subject here. The driver designed the boat. The crew, well I bet you know them...

The pictures below are not the correct answer.

Sure looks like a FORMULA 233 with DON ARANOW at the wheel.

chumbucket 06-05-2008 10:46 PM

I don't know all the passengers, but you're correct with Don Aronow of noted Formula/Thunderbird, Donzi, Magnum, Cigarette fame and probably a couple more that escape me.

chumbucket 06-05-2008 10:50 PM

The guy in the back/middle looks like his mechanic Knocky. ??

I believe it Don driving with the Beatles as passengers. I have the "Blue Thunder" book at the house with the same picture. Its a great book with some really cool pics of all the early offshore boats

Now someone had to go and post Maryann in her little shorts and get me distracted for the whole day at work:hide:

Mrs Howell is looking rather fetching in her sunflower chapeau.

I know. I'm not well. :you:

willy 06-06-2008 05:09 PM

and look at little Tina Louise in her white handkerchief bikini. That was one sweet little piece of tail. Between her, Marryann, Barbara Eden , Ann Margaret and Joey Heatherton my young teen nights were exhausting

We have a winner! Good call Spare.

I thought it was cool that the hottest music group of the time was hangin' on a 23 foot boat. And both the group and the boat became legends. The Formula will definitely outlast the musicians. Who woulda thunk it at the time? This scene just couldn't happen today.

How 'bout a new thread for the over 40 crowd here. Wimen in my youth that caused me to use up all the Kleenex. Pictures required.

spareparts 06-06-2008 08:04 PM

sounds like that may have to be a "new thread for the over 50 crowd" not over 40.
