1982 V20 at auction

Found this 82 v20 at a auction where people give cars and boats to this place for them to sell and take a tax rightoff on it. Auction is monday 8/13/07. Dont need another V, but what do you guys think it could be worth. its got a merc 150HP and the floor seems alittle soft, not all over just some. no tops and who knows how long last time run. Trailer looks good, aluminum. Here are the pics.... Funny how the V20's catch my eye now almost like kin.

Looks nice!! Don't let hammer see that bench seat!!

woth? Thats a good question, will they let you run the motor? Trailer if all is good and by the pic's looks great $700 to $1000
Hull with soft floor $500
Motor if runs $1000 (Looks to be 80 something)

$2000 to $2500 But there are a lot of if's there.

what area is your auction in. That trailer is worth a good amount by it self.

Thanks

I thought Hammer would have seen the bench seat.

The auction is located in a small town, Apopka, Fl. ... The guy has redone all the wood trim...

With the transom cutdown extra, is it still a 25" transom. It's a 1982 and my 84 is not like that on the transom.

They won't let you run the motor all you can do is pull the cowling and turn the flywheel to make sure it not locked up. Feel Lucky...

I will watch it, and if it goes cheap maybe it not i will tell the guy about the site...

Well the boat sold today , thought i had it for $600 but than another guy got going on it and pushed until i let him have it for $1,275.00... I really didnt need it and who knows how high he would have gone. I would have liked it for $1,000 but went to $1250.00 but didnt want to have more cash out there. The sterring cable was locked up but the flywheel did turn. Oh well always another boat out there. You just never know what your getting with auctions... Thought i would go to $1,500.00 just didnt want to after i got there and looked at it more. Z

Good decision...now if it was a good running motor and you KNEW that it might be differen't, but I think you did the right thing by holding off.

Hey Zebra, what is the name of that auction house
and do they have a website?

No website has far has i know. I go to the GSA auctions and they have websites that you can bid online. This place is alot smaller. they do it once a month and auction off cars and sometimes boats. you have to be a dealer to bid so its not open to the public. there is always another boat out there... It might not have been a deal if you kept bidding. *Who knows what lurks under the floor, inside the fuel tank, inside the motor etc. *$600-a deal! $1250+--let the other guy fall in love! * ;)

Man I wish I knew I was bidding against someone here because we could have worked out some deal. I still feel it was a good buy at $1,275.00 and I hope to have it completly over hauled by next summer.

Op's, I was joking with him but forgot my other post to tell him I was BS'n. I wish I could get pics posted as I have tried several times and I cant even get them to load into Photo Bucket. Maybe I need to try from home as I have only tried here at work. I took some pic's of a floor repair and some of the boat but never could get them up. Now that I think about it maybe if I try at home I can get my daughters help before she leaves for college.
