good job CY. Children are wonderful. My boy and I are best friends. We have the coolest toys, we camp in the back yard, we play flashlight tag, man- hunt, army. We always go hiking in the woods or the state park, always bring our binoculars and walkie-talkies. I read to him every tues. and thurs., he reads to me M/W/F. I put him on the bus every morning and only wish I could be there when he comes home. He's got a 100' cast w/ his 6ft. Uglystick, and he says he prefers Penn vs. Shimano [?] He drives the V pretty well but he says he's more comfortable w/ his [mine] 15' Durnautic aluminium. We just put speedometers on our bikes and he brags about his 17mph top speed. I tell him to go "easy" on the quad, but he watches daddy do 360s. I could go on and on.....I know soon our relationship will change as he gets older and this is why you hear people say "hang onto your kids as long as you can".

cfelton 04-16-2008 11:43 PM

Congratulations CY!!! Kids are great. They keep you young . Smetimes I wish we'ed had a few more. Out of three, Ive got one left at home. She's 15 and growing up too fast. We've got 3 grandkids and there great but we dont see them often enough. Enjoy them while they are little cause they grow up really fast!!! Have fun!!!!!

C YENSEN 04-17-2008 10:59 AM

Airslot 04-17-2008 11:12 AM

I'm late to the party, but CONGRATS. And since nobody else has said it, congrats on a job well done:clap:

charlie_the_tuna 04-18-2008 01:02 AM

oh crap, i should have given you the "boy" method.
well in case anybody else is planning on impregnating their wife and wants to guarantee a boy here's what you do.

take a good pair of shoes, the ones you got married in or your work shoes.
put them under her side of the bed, toes facing out.

worked twice for me. i have two boys.

this was passed to me from an old hatian voodoo woman.

charlie_the_tuna 04-18-2008 01:04 AM

dont scoff.

voodoo is very powerful.

jackasses.

Mac_Attack 04-18-2008 04:26 AM

CY I have two boys and I didn't know my shoes were under the bed! Congrats to you and your Mrs. Life will be different for you two, you will enjoy it, we do. Billy Mac

willy 04-18-2008 03:06 PM

charlie_the_tuna 04-19-2008 12:37 AM

Mac_Attack 04-19-2008 05:03 PM

Hey WILLY, I've unfortunately been intetionally slacking. There were a few complaints about some of my pictures awhile back, so I quit putting them up and removed them from my avatar and signature.

As for the method mentioned above. I always thought if you went nice and easy you would get a boy, if you went to town hammerin you got a girl. You gotta be careful not to knock the nuts off early on man:hi:.

Pipe_Dream 04-21-2008 12:11 PM

Congrats, CY! Best wishes to you and the missus!

nipper 04-21-2008 02:38 PM

Ferm, I commented on your Avatar, but I think I also said I found it "mesmerizing." Don't remove it for me; I have found how to block the Avatars in case someone sneaks up behind me while on the Forum.

I don't know who all it was, but I just figured I'd get rid of em to keep the peace. The responses weren't in posts, they were in PM's.

Congrats on the baby!!! I'm not a person to give advise and when it comes to kids I'm even less qualified but here it goes. We have a 15 month daughter and when my wife got preg. a friend gave her the book "Baby Wise". I recommend that you get your wife this book for her to read and I highly recomend it as it has been a plessing to us. It really helps. I'll say that again "IT REALLY HELPS". Our daught has been sleeping through out the night sense she was around three months old and her friend had the same experience. I know people with children older than ours which cannot sleep thoughout the night. My wife puts her to bed around 8pm and she sleeps until around 7:30am and this has been the case sense she was around 4 to 5 months old (give or take a little time). I did not read the book but it has sure made my life (our Life) much easier. Ok, back to boating.

bcmarinamanager 04-23-2008 10:16 AM

Congrats!! I'm expecting my first at the end of September. Sounds like there are a few of us on the same path this year. Congrats to everybody!!!!!!!!!
