Morning at Sunset

:hi: Good morning from Sunset Beach North Carolina...weather is rotten...windy, rainy and cold, but I needed to get away for a few days and this is just the ticket!

Have heard rumors of Randlemanboater being in the neighborhood...he has my cell, so hopefully will hear from him...his boat's down here and I haven't seen it since before he bought it...would like to see it since a real V-20er has had it and put some TLC into it...not to mention the 140 Zuke...

Hangin' out on the coast for a few days...se you guys later....

People ask me all teh time, "It's goning to be crappy weather in Lewes down by the beach, why are you going?"
I tell them, it never rains at the beach.

It is just good to get away, sometimes I wish I could go to Gilligan's Island,
no phones, no lights, no telephones, not a single luxury - just peice and quite.

Thats begs the question... Ginger or Maryanne.
For my money Ginger was a little high maintenance. I'm a Maryanne guy all the way.

I had a 14 ft Fisher Marine with a side console and a 30 hp mariner named Mary Anne. Probably the most reliable boat I've had for the money; kinda like the inspiration for her name off of Gilligan's Island. I little later I bought a 18 ft Donzi classic (red) named Tina Louise (a redhead) the actress who played Ginger. The donzi was a primadonna that was basically worthless except for going fast and burning gas. I went in the hole fixing her up only to lose money. I feel guilty to this day selling Mary Anne.

randlemanboater 04-02-2008 07:19 AM

Hey REEL,

Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you. If it makes you feel better, the weather stayed crappy all week. The warmest it ever got was Thursday when it got to 64, but the wind was still whipping, I never even put the boat in.

But the year is young, there are many warm sunny days comming.
