Hey whatknot
Did you ever finish the V project you were working on or did I miss the final outcome?
Either way, hows about some pictures on it. |
tsubaki,
Still working on it!! I'm laying the final coat of Durabak today. http://www.nonslipcoating.com/index.htm Using light grey and it looks awesome! After screwing down the console, I masked off and painted about an inch above where the console meets the deck. It's going to be a real watertight deck. Putting in the new tank is the only reason I was able to do this. Will try to get some pics later today. When i do get it finished, there will be plenty of photo's and I'll document plumbing the 18 gallon livewell (in-deck at the transom) for all to praise or ridicule. MJ was right about Durabak.... it's bulletproof and impressive! |
Pictures later today?
(now I'm acting like hammer) looking for them.:pic: |
ok I will be the one to do it.........
:thre: hurry up we are waitning:sly: Just kidding:laugh: |
pics will come tonight after work or in the am. for all the pic freaks.
Like me. |
Here they are....

Had rain here. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/IMG_9121.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/IMG_0307.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/IMG_0311.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/IMG_0312.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/IMG_0313.jpg |
WOW:oh:
Great Job, you cant even tell where you cut the floor. It looks great:happy: Now come put a bracket on mine.......or else:bat: |
What happened??
Don't look like the same boat. Man that's a great job, whatknot. (needs blood pinstriping though) |
Awesome paint job WhatKnot!!!! I like the light grey. When my dad gets to feeling better we are going to paint duraback on our 250 Sprortsmans floor. I hope it hides the places where we cut the deck to repair it.

Thanks all - for the kind words... is it unnatural to just stare at your boat? next comes the killer buff job, new binnacle, starboard or seaboard for the cc and make the new wiring connections. (All New) Install lowrance 28C-HD and LMS-400. Then get a 5" extension for the foot. Drop'r in and forget how much money I threw at Whatknot.

pics.... of the center console in progress. Starboard and Lowrance LCX 28C-HD with LMS 400. I'm shooting for a St. Patrick's Day Launch. I stay away from the Madness downtown and FISH!

Looking goood.
When you stick it in the water, take pics of the lcx28c and lmf400 in operation at different rpms and speeds so's we can get some fuel consumption ideas. And post the prop and engine size also at that time in performance. |

(Like I'm one to talk about getting a boat ready to use) |
Looks great, and it is perfectly normal to sit and stare at your boat. Its also ok to just sit in your boat in the driveway. If someone says anything to you just tell em "it's a boat thing, you wouldn't understand".
Uh......did you notice that your throttle handle is MISSING!!!! |
Well, I will be in the water Sunday or Monday! I'll have to do it without my 5" longshaft extension kit though. It got one with defects and it's going back. I may try to find another company. Anyway, who knows where i can get a 5" long shaft extension for a Yamaha 150 2 stroke? Boat has been hit with one time with rubbing compound and is shining up nice. That is the chalk is gone. Got the "Whatknot" logo on and it looks hot!!!
|
WELL??
Damn, I'm starting to sound like a broken record!! |
I'm still working on the 5" foot extension and my boat detailers on on the way. You ever use Billy Gartside? Waterline up is his company. Young guy, hard worker, really cool.
|
Paint came out great!! I also used the gray I loved it!!
