True Nightmare
Dear Friends, Last night I had the strangest dream. It was so real, so life-like and so vivid I woke up in a cold sweat. Let me describe it to you briefly... 1. Hillary wins the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States 2. Naturally, she wants to choose as her running mate someone with a lot of knowledge and experience in government and foreign affairs, someone who is a seasoned campaigner who could bring a lot of strength to the ticket. Who better than Bill, her husband?!!! 3. Hill and Bill go on to win the election in November and the Democrats maintain control of the House and the Senate. 4. Hillary is sworn in as President on January 20, 2009. The next day, after all the inauguration parties are over, she calls a press conference to make an announcement: she is resigning as President!!! Bill, as the Vice President, immediately becomes President!!! This is all perfectly legal under the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, for it states that no person "may be elected as president more than twice". Bill is not being elected for a third term but is merely serving out the remainder of Hillary's term --- all 4 years of it. 5. But wait! There's more! The following day Bill calls a press conference to make an announcement. He has chosen someone to fill the now vacant Vice President Position. Guess who he picks? Why, Hillary, of course!!! Now you stay awake and let me get some sleep !!!!!!! |
OMG I won't sleep for the next 10 months :oh:and maybe more!!
|
sorry boys but that would be awesome........
Go Slick Willy:happy::sun::clap: IMO one of the best presidents:clap: |
:oh::head::oh::head:
|
You know, yesterday I also thought--can Bill serve as VP. It is true, that the 22nd amendment does not bar him from serving as VP, nor would it bar him from serving as President in the event of resignation, impeachment, incapacity, death, etc. I'm not one to generally comment on political matters either, but I am with CYensen. I think it would be great. We sure enjoyed some good years under Bill Clinton.
|
Bill
Good years yes! The last of them. NAFTA What kind of cigars do you smoke? Billy Mac :oh:
|
sorry, but my industry( boat business) suffered some of the worst years in history under slick willy, especially considering fuel was relativily cheap. For me at least, trickle down economics supports me and my wife. The big economic boost we saw under Clinton was mainly due to the opening of the on line market place( and no, they didn't invent it). Look back at how many major, big money industrys were started during those years as a direct by product of the internet. I have issues with the current administration, but would I swap them for the Clintons, hell no! Just my .02

:zip:I like y'all waaay too much to discuss poly-tics with you. Therefore I respectfully abstain from this thread.

Bwahahahaha .......... you're afraid of that after the real life nightmare of the last 8 years .......... now that's funny !!!!!!!
|
Wow ......... Romney just quit ...........

Agreed......compare the economy now to the Clinton economy. Bill was a great Prez. |
Yep, back then a dollar's worth of gas could actually get you somewhere.
|
Okay, I said I wouldn't get into a political discussion, but the price of gas is economics.
Everyone in the good ol' USA needs to understand something: the POTUS does not set the price of oil. There is precious little he/she can do to even slightly influence the supply of oil, let alone the price. The same goes for the economy. Aside from changing income tax rates, the POTUS cannot greatly influence the economy. All he/she can do is try to take credit/try to deflect blame for the economy of his/her term. Got it? BTW, this thread ought to be in Off Topic. |

Yeah ........... guess that's why Cheney won't release the notes from his energy meetings which included the oil industry ........... that was before Enron almost bankrupted California wasn't it ........... and the home energy is sooooo much more expensive ........ as far as oil ..... the fact is that the oil companies own everything from alot of the wells to the refining to the gas stations ............ I'm old enough to remember when the gas crises hit and gas went from 30 cents to over a dollar ......... how the oil companies said it wasn't their fault and brought in experts to say that the earth was running out of oil etc etc etc .......... please don't tell me that when their profits are greater than any other company at anytime in the world ............ if you believe the above then I bet the easter bunny will be real good to you tooo ...... |
Oh boy a pissing contest.
Let me get a chair, stand back about 25 feet and watch bladders blow. This is as much fun as trying to figure out if Janet Reno stands or squats to urinate. |

(No pissing match here, guys. I just want reasonable arguments.) |
Oil men are in the White House so gas prices are high, when a peanut farmer was in the White House we had the only peanut shortage in the history of the US and peanutbutter prices soared.
It doesn't matter if they are Democrat or Rebublican, they are all crooks who sell the fate of the people to the highest bidder. |

get ready guys ...... the boogie lady is going to get ya .......... and grandpa McCoy ain't gonna stop her ........ |
I think Mrs. Clinton will do a great job and can make lots of changes, as long as whoever preplans and scripts every word she ever speaks is on the same page as us citizens.

And you still haven't answered my original question about oil prices. |
For me personally I am in another election situation where I again do not have a candidate (that has a chance of winning) to pick from that is not screwed up beyond belief, for many reasons.
i am so ashamed of our country that they cannot seem to field people of intelligence, character and a strong belief in the constitution of this country. Instead we get crap on two legs, imagine the greatest country on the planet and the best we have to offer is Hillary, Mcain etc. We are taxed beyond reason, and with any of them the taxes are going to get worse, with the Arkansas Bimbo they are going to go thru the roof. We are going to get forced into a medical system that will be another big money boondoggle that will screw everyone of us, our constitutional rights under all the amendments will be sold down the river and we will fall under the International Approval doctrine for every thing we do. The political landscape will exponentially change so that those that are here illegally will become legal and the political power bases will change dramatically in every major population center. You think politicians don't listen to, take advantage of middle class white america now, within five years all you will be is a large suckling pig for others to feed off. I don't like a lot of what has happend under GW, he has made some terrible mistakes, Clinton made as many if not more, putting Billary back in office will be akin to sticking a pencil in your eye. We need change, we need accountability, we need inspiration. We need someone who understands that going forward and making these changes has to be done with respect to the past, who got us here, their sacrifises and hard work, the constitution which has guarenteed our existence and freedoms. We need someone who respects our nations soverinty, our borders and most importantly the men and women who built this country and ensure they are taken care of. The way things have been run in this country since the New Deal era is that if the government runs it, is involved in it , it turns to a sh!t quagmire with no escape. God help us if the B!tch gets into office, and Lord please give us a decent republican to vote for. |
Amen to all of that willy. Our best shot at keeping our liberties and protecting our constitution has left with Romney. I really feel bad for younger generations to come for what this country is becoming.
|
Wow ......... just saw that the Conservative Queen Ann Coulter was even voting for Hillary ..........
|
Agreeing with willy is the only sane thing to imagine.
Look on the bright side, if America is so ignorant to have her elected then at least everyone will be equal in the United Socialist America. Hail Hillary (in a pigs eye) Bladder refill maybe for later. |

My buddy had to wait 9 months for an MRI on his knee because it was not 'high priority'. universal health care has its merits but for 'low priority' procedures it sucks. |
i agree willy but i feel we lost our best 2 for the job i'm Republican but i felt our best one was John Edwards he is actually on the fence he could almost run in either party. that's a shame he didn't get a chance. and i hate Romney is goe those 2 would have been a great pair to choose from. hell better yet put them on the same ticket make all happy lol.
|
it could be worse
kmmame could run lol:happy:
|
I was one of the three people that voted for Ron Paul in the Georgia Primary. Some say I threw my vote away, but to me voting for the lesser of two evils the last few elections threw away a lot more.
|
A vote cast is never wasted!
|
Its hard to believe no one mentioned Obama in this thread. The man to bring change but has yet to present how he's going to do this. There is little hope in this election and once again the vote will go to the lesser of the evils.
|
.......... well shoot ........ they voted bush in didn't they ........... worst pres in history and he got a second term ............. what does that tell ya?

Talking about Obama I don't trust anyone who doesn't believe in the bible. I'm not religeous but I still think he's lying.
If Hillary got in then they wouldn't call her madam president, they would address her as 1st Lesbian. :you: You know how I can tell when Obama and Hillarty are lying?????? THEIR LIPS ARE MOVING especially when hillary's head is not stuck between another womans legs.!!!!! |
