Can Resist but LOL If they didn't break so much you wouldn't need one mounted full time lol ;D |
Re: Lifting Eye for 96 Johnson
Hmm this from a guy with more OMC motors then you can shake a stick at!!
Good thing you have one for everyday!! Cause thats all they are good for, one day at a time!! ;) :D ;D |
Re: Lifting Eye for 96 Johnson
LMAO lol yeah that's why you mount 7 Johnson's on your boat so you will have one a day lol how did you guess. ;D

Re: Lifting Eye for 96 Johnson
actualy I like Johnson!! Thats all I had before the Yamaha, and thats what I had my friend buy last year.
If buying new I think I would go Johnson only because they are cheaper then Yamaha. But I like both. |
Re: Lifting Eye for 96 Johnson
Grace you sure you don't have an eye on that motor, I thought my Johnson was missing it too until I realized it was moved and now it was on the back side of the engine and it was two of them instead of one, one on each side. Mine is a 1999

Thanks for the thought buddy. I'll take a look tomorrow... That would be very nice. How you feeling these days? Are you fully recovered yet? Steve |
Re: Lifting Eye for 96 Johnson
Getting there, a little at a time, thanks for the thought.
Grace mine were on the back end of the block just below the top designed to be used with a split chain or strap with two ends. |

This is what I used to pull off my 1999 Ficht 150. Cost me $8 at Ace Hardware. I have to cut the pin in the swivel and I also sleeved the bolt. I don't endorse this product, but it held up for several uses - including when the new owner was dangling the motor in the air from his work truck. |
