I get more out of mine in some chop. Not just any chop. Gotta be pretty tight. I think it puts more air under the hull, which is less friction.

glad to hear it wish i could have got up with you i tried the v20 out in the gulf sunday i got 42 out of the old girl but it started getting a little rough by afternoon

5-10 kt wind, 2 guys in the boat, 1 guy wake boarding, 4800 rpm = 42 mph in the river. All of them lived

My youngest kid and his friends, they keep signaling to speed up! One little twitch of the steering wheel and they need an aspirin!! They didn't last too long, but the river was really glassy in one stretch, I didn't even think of getting on that thing!

I nearly made the mistake of skiin' slalom the other day...still WANT to...wanted to show teens (they're on wake boards) how to "attack" the wake for most "air" like used to do all the time...BOY!!...glad I came to B4 gettin' this ol' 54 yr old, outta shape bod out there only to KILL myself...still WANT to, though... ::)...

Do it RAP! I'm normally sore for a couple days after such shenanigans, but I knee boarded a couple of times last week and wasn't even sore the next day! I must be in decent shape from all of these house projects is all I can figure ??? :-/

Headed out for a sunset / dinner run with family. Boat wouldn't even start. I cranked the 6hp kicker and said let's go anyway. Then I monkeyed with the main motor...found the points were closed. I reset'm and it started right up. The thing never ran so good. Did 38 by GPS with 5 people on board. Just got in.
I'll head out for Dolphin tomorrow morning ;D
