I became a member on March 8, 2005. If memory serves,I recall somewhere in the nieghborhood of 347 members when I joined. Now we're near 370 or so...Hmmm...must be "something in the water"

We don't judge you by the type of outboard motor you have, we don't care if yours is a centerconsole or cuddy,
I/O's get the same respect as a bracket. We do kinda look down on those euro-transoms - we gotta have standards

Yeah...I'm thinkin' about payin' somebody to reconfigure my V20 into a Eurotransom... :P...then I'm gonna squat over a bear-trap... ;D...

I think the pre-newbies like to just watch for a little while the see what kinda MADNESS goes on here...I'm startin' to SHAKE...gotta go drill some fiberglass...

It's the useless form shown in this picture. Nothing more than wasted cockpit space. You loose about 2 feet of useable space. >:(

CB why are you picking on the boat I almost replaced my V-20 with? The small cockpit (and the useless head compartment) killed it for me.

I agree completely. That 2 feet turns into about 16 square feet of space assuming an 8 foot beam.

I'm not bashing any boat in particular. Just the styling of the transom. I tend to like the Hydra-Sports offerings. This was just a quickly accessable picture that I thre up as an example.

Comin out. dave,68 yrs old,retired.DONT FISH.
pass my time fixin up old boat.1977 Powercat,1978 Rude 140.learned a lot in last 2 years.Iboats,Classic Mako,V20.com.Trying to rebuild my boat on small budjet so I spend my time reading the boards for ideas.appreciate all the info. davexx

ps I know,nobody believes I dont fish but I dont eat it either.you guys invest more in a pole then I have in my boat.Glad to be here.

Its hard for me to beleive too. I have owned 3 V20s over the yrs and have fished with others on board(bluefish) but no more.I spend most of my time searching for boat or motor parts.

Dave,

I have a pair of counter rotating 1989 Johnson 140hp engines with dual controls that I'd like to get rid of.

One runs, the other needs a starter. I'm willing to make somebody a real good deal....let me know if you're interested and I'll shoot you the details.

Let's see...add a Euro-Transom, move the windshield back 5 feet so it'll ride better...voila!...now you save money on seating cause the front seats are in the back!... ::)...

That picture makes my Nortons ache just lookin' at it... :o...
