Re: Project Jeep Updates
LOL thanks there Willy, I think that poor jeep hates me lol. next i'm taking the doors and the front drive axel and the rear end out plus all the steering. How you like that Jet Ski? That ski is my Unicorn. I've totally redone that ski and have yet to ride it over 30 mins. first time the motor broke a crank. guess 77mph was to fast on a race mod. Stand Up 550.

Re: Project Jeep Updates
Rode one once had a stiff neck for a week, better you than me ;D

Re: Project Jeep Updates
Skools, what about those little extender arms that hold the rear hatch door open? On my 96 Jeep, they no longer hold it up - its a real head banger. Question: Do the ones on this Jeep still work correctly (hold door up) and if so, do you wanna get rid of those too? Assuming they'll fit my 96, I need em. Wife was beachin about that the other day. ;D
|
Re: Project Jeep Updates
LOL sorry BR they won't fit my dad asked the same thing and they don't fit so i'm going to use them on a large boat floor hatch lol.

Re: Project Jeep Updates
well i did a gear check today. looked them up found out the old 85 Wagoneer has a Dana 44 front and rear with posi and 3.31 gears. Has 4.2 straight 6, 3 speed auto trans, vaccum control transfercase.
The old 92 i'm take the 4.0 HO motor, 4 Speed overdrive trans, and full manual transfercase out of has Dana 35 rear, 30 front *with 3.91 gears and it got 19 to 21 MPG so with 3.31 gears and the new 4 speed auto overdrive it should get around 26 to 28 i hope on MPG. First Wagoneer to get good fuel mileage. |
Re: Project Jeep Updates
Hey,
Has anyone ever converted a Jeep 6 cylinder Distributor to a GM HEI Distributor from a 250 six banger? I read about it on a jeep site sounds like a great idea to make hot fire and a known good GM ignition. |

Re: Project Jeep Updates
OK got the motor figured out what i'm going to put in it.
Use the 1992 4.0 HO block and Head Crane .530 lift cam 4.2 stock crank and rods (known as the old AMC 258ci) .30 over 4.0 HO pistons Clifford 4520 carb intake with Carter 500 4bb Black Max Headers Flowmaster 2 chamber with 2 1/2 exhaust That make a 4.8 HO Stroker Motor with around 285 to 300 HP and 375 to 400 ft lb Torque. What ya think? |
Re: Project Jeep Updates

Re: Project Jeep Updates
That one on SB is $4000 And what a rust bucket!! Nixce low miles, But god the rust!!
Thats why I got rid of my Blazer, I loved that truck more then my wife!! But it had to go, just wish I could do the same with the wife!! :o |
Re: Project Jeep Updates
lol yeah I Love my Blazer too MJ strong as a bull ox but it has 210,000 miles on it. It has a good body just a ton of miles for a 1994. It has the 6.5 Turbo Diesel in it so i plan to run it till the motor dies.
