Unbelievable! CG boat runs over speedboat. Speedboat has the right of way!

"The Coast Guard Captain is yelling, "Skipper in the speedboat." "

Yelling to whom? His mate? On the radio?

That's crazy.

CG SUCKS, I know a few personally, they are around here at least...worthless. I dont know how it is where yall are at, but if you are in trouble on the water around here the LAST people you call is the Coast Guard. Just MHO! ::)

Re: Coast Guard's finest

I just can't believe they made no effort to miss the boat. All they had to do is back off the throttle and/or alter course to stbd. (as the rules of the road state). The small boat was the "stand on" vessel.??? Hope those idots got in lots of trouble and the victims got at least a new boat.

Techniclly law enforecment ALWAYS has right of way...BUT this was sheer ignorance and SHOULD have been avoided. :P

Re: Coast Guard's finest

very carefully examine this video, it is not real. *The CG did not get there until after the accident, its just a result of some good editing and some very unqualified coast guard aux.

Come on Tin , you know you got to take this internet stuff with a grain of salt. ;D

I heard on the internet that W was driving :D ;D :D :-X

Ah, well now that expalins it...I knew it had to be someone real, real stupid!
:)

What makes you say it looks fake? Looks real to me???

Re: Coast Guards finest

Looks real to me, as the CG boat "allegedly" hits the other boat you can see the "impact" as the camera and cameraman gets jolted a bit, and, you can also see some spray of water coming off the back of the speedboat at the exact time the CG boat cuts him in two. Pretty convincing

Re: Coast Guard's finest

I am trying to remember any CG boat I have ever seen that flys the ensign on the stern and not on the mast, I know for sure it is not one of the more common CG boats, look at the rail and deck combing in the video right before the impact. *I am pretty sure it is a personal boat being used by CG Aux, *still studying it though. *I am sure the boat with the camera man is the one that hit the other boat but I am not sure it is a CG boat at all.

Smile Tin Man, 08 is comming soon
