It's hand made and operates 1/4 scale and it's on my 10x32 foot lay-out and this is my winter hobby........

Looks great!! I use to do a little of train work when I was young, But never could get past the crash and burn thing!
I use to light things on fire and burn them up! Should have been there the day my mom came home smelled something burning, I was in basement with tracks on fire while racing the train thur it! That was the end of that hobbyb :'( |
Re: My Bridge{other hobby}
My buddy from the club that I'm president of Connecticut Socitey of Ferroeqinoligist and Model Railway Engineers out of Manchester Ct built this for me it takes about 200 hours to complete it even shudders going up and down.....I will build a V-20 out of styrene to put under it. *All the trains in the picture I custom painted *I do lots of it...Ted

Re: My Bridge{other hobby}
stinky, i had a hit when i was still a trainee. took a guy out east in a deisel goin about 65. still lookin for his other leg. we got one guy whos qualified 5 years and has 8 hits. got an old timer with something like 28 years on and never had a hit. yes, most guys on the property have one or more hits, i would say 90 percent. but about 20 percent of the roster is under 3 years. i was in the cab for 5 years. been a blue belly for another 5.

Re: My Bridge{other hobby}
That bridge opens to about 75 degrees and it is channel 13......I'll see if I can find one that's it open....

Re: My Bridge{other hobby}
The next picture is the same type rolling lift bridge that is gone now outside of East Providence, Rhode Island also on the New Haven Railroad circa 1964 both bridges opened the same amount. This bridge is identical as the center section of the bridge that is 9 sections wide over the mouth of the Connecicut River and Long Island Sound.....Ted
