Re: StepLift Logo

Zebra what was the charge of your logo and what was the set up fee? Billy Mac ;D

Zebra 07-05-2006 08:27 PM

Re: StepLift Logo

Logo's would cost $135 each for a setup fee. and than $8.10 for the logo plus the cost of the item, t-shirt, pullover whatever you just have to order out of the same category... and you have to do 6 items at time of order or logo price goes to $16.20 if you only do 1 item.

Both logo's are approx. 4" wide X 2 1/4 tall

If we decide to move forward we have to send $135 for set up they do one logo for approval and than they give logo a # and you ref. the # when you order.

Than any one could order from there area, ref. the # and they will send direct to you.

I think LandsEnd does nice stuff not always cheap but good Quality and nice to work with.

We dont have to do both logo's right away...

I suggest if there is interest go to LandsEnd.com and ck. out there stuff.

Re: StepLift Logo

Bump...

So what's the deal too much $. They do nice stuff but 6 items plus logo price, maybe to pricey. thought maybe the reg. groups could get together on a order.

Or just no interest. Hey I'm happy with the T's and pullover too. Just thought with over 700 members might have some interest.

That's ok landsend has the logo and Ref. # if we ever as a group wanna address it later.

Have a trip plan for mourn. but forcast shows 10-15 knots with 4-5 sea's

Re: StepLift Logo

Zebra...seein' the step-lift heading for this post, I thought you were lookin' for one for your boat :P...sorry I didn't look, cause that's just the hat I've been wantin' for a long time!! ;)...LE duplicated the logo just right 8)...I'd like to get a couple of hats w/ the V-20 logo...

Suggestion : start another thread and title it "Order HATS Here"...let's see if any response...yeah, it's gonna be a little ''pricey'' for a hat, but til we collectively get past the art fee $135 we'll never have any...

Mac_Attack 07-07-2006 12:32 PM

Re: StepLift Logo

I like it but the set up fee is too high. Billy Mac ;D

reelapeelin 07-07-2006 12:44 PM

Re: StepLift Logo

I suggest we pool some dough and get the set-up fee paid so we can get some hats...if 10 or so others want hat, that'll whittle the cost per each down to managable level...once we're past the initial cost, then each hat won't be too much...I'll throw in for either logo, but hands down I like the 1st one V-20 much better for a hat...if we can get all together on orderin the same logo, then we only got ONE fee...

Let's go guys...let's get some hats ;D 8) ;D ;D...

There's gonna be a set-up fee from ANYBODY who
embroiders...this is a cost of gettin' this done no matter who does it...LE's fee is in line w/ others we've talked w/ about it...

If we can split it 10 ways, I'll send a check TODAY!! ;) ;D...who else is in??

Oh yeah, I have a really big head(almost a size 8 ) ::), so they better have some oversized hats available.

Re: StepLift Logo

well aint nothin easy is it, so when i went back to LE and told them we were thinkin the V20 steplift logo for hats. they said at 4"w X 2.2 tall that the logo was to large so they are gonna reduce and send me a new logo that will fit on hats. I'll post soon as i get it.

when i get the new logo I'll start a new post ref. V20 hats with pics. they did say it'll be less money for set up fee.

Wise Guy is still around we just pm'd each other about Erie's fishing. I'll pm him about the hats.

Re: StepLift Logo

I THINK the way to go would be to collectivly send each person's part of the set-up (art) fee to Zebra since he's already talkin' to 'em...from there, each person orders his/her own hats using a code (as mentioned in Zebra's earlier post)...that way you can order any color or style hat you want from all the different ones LE carries...best of both worlds ;) ...OR...if there's a price break on 6 or more of the same hat and there is enough interest in that to warrant, the order is placed and I think LE will ship those to each individual...

What ever route we take, we wanna make sure we use the same truckin' co that shipped MJ's motor since they've proven to be so reliable ::) ...

Let's see...me, rick, willy, parishht, zebra, whopper, mac, cbe317...that's a real good start, but just a few more guys step up and we got a real managable cost per snagger 8) ...

Re: V20 Hats

Thanks, Charlie Tuna...just to make sure everybody knows...this 1st order will require all ordering to evenly SPLIT the art (set-up) fee...we've been told $135, so if 10 people, it'll cost $13.50 plus logo plus hat plus shipping (UPS or Fed Ex, MJ ;D)...not gonna be cheap hats, but it'll finally get the ball rollin' for future hats ;) 8) 8)...

Re: V20 Hats

Hey guys -

I'm still around. Been fishing and never usually read the 'off topic' section. One of my business interest is logo embroidery and imprinting. The process of digitizing (turning art to machine recognized stitches) is the issue here with the set-up fee. I would certainly have that part done for free.... for the family here.

I've thrown this idea out before. I must have GOOD clean artwork (a pic off the web is not good). Garbage in = garbage out. I'll get the digitizing done for nothing.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to run onesies and twosies without upsetting the applecart here. It's a volume/job effeciency thing. Not to mention individual shipping. Your only going to want to pay so much for a hat.

We wouldn't have a problem with different items or sizes. If someone has the time to put the order together, get me whatever artwork you would like, and a couple of ship points (that regional group thing again!), great. I'll get you a couple items for the effort! I'll do the work reasonably, with no set-up! I just can't do all that leg work - that will be the same any where.

PM me if you want to do the organization and I'll tell you about pricing and products and sizes.

Pete

Re: V20 Hats

Cool Wiseguy! That's nice of you.. Hey, my only problem is that the only time I wear a hat is when I fish and they get messed up BAD with sweat, fish guts and bait and crap.

You guys wouldn't consider me sacreligious if I messed up a V20 symbol would ya? :-/

If the answer is no, you wouldn't mind, then I'm in for a hat!! Hey, you never know, it could end up like Willy Nelson's guitar! A legendary V20 blood and guts had - been throught it all and back ball cap! In all my fish pics and the whole 9 yards! Sounds cool to me... 8)

WiseGuy 07-11-2006 10:43 AM

Re: V20 Hats

That's the only way to wear a hat. It needs to have some 'experience' behind it. ;D

reelapeelin 07-11-2006 01:26 PM

Re: V20 Hats

Get TWO HATS, BR...that way you can get one all sweated up and save the clean one for more ''formal'' occasions...I'm gettin' 3...one to sweat up, one ''formal'' and a spare to put away ;) ...I still got V-20 shirts never been worn...

Wise Guy!! that sounds GREAT!!...thanks for jumpin' back in and w/ a great offer ;) ;D ...I'm gonna PM Chesapeake and get him to send V-20 logo to you...how best way??...snail or e-mail?...

WiseGuy 07-11-2006 03:39 PM

Re: V20 Hats

e-mail - hopefully a 'vector' file. That's best.

Anything you want on a shirt or hat or duffel bag, get the art an I'll give er a go. thread is different than ink of course - simple, almost cartoonish, objects come out best in thread.
