We fell in love with the Lake Tahoe area. My wife can't stop talking about it -- she's never reacted the same to any other place we've gone. The lakes are all very clear, there are beautiful mountains everywhere, Ponderosa Pines, so much to do and I barely broke a sweat because it's much drier than here in the South. I can definitely see why so many want to live there. And of course on the NV side there are casinos. ;)

We really didn't want to. *We're both transplants -- although long time residents now -- of South Carolina, and while we do love it here we both agreed that we could easily live around or near Lake Tahoe. *There are so many forms of recreation -- hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, climbing -- and I never broke a sweat on the entire trip! *And the skiing is supposed to be fantastic. *Of course real estate is priced accordingly . . . *:P *but it had virtually everything we could want: mountains, lakes, and everyone was very laid back and friendly. *We will definitely go there again.

Great shots! Looks like Tahoe has everything.......except salt water. I've spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mt.'s...loved it! But I eventually would miss the saltwater. I do miss the mountains living on the coast, just not as bad. Guess you can't have it all.....unless you live the Pacific Northwest, but the weather stinks 10 months of the year.

I'm sure Tahoe is very expensive to live, all the great places are. :o

Hey Pipe...great pics , man...but you sound like me...when I get there, all I think about is havin' my dog and boat w/ me!! ;) ...if ya move out there, that'll solve that problem...I think the PD wouldlook great cruisin Tahoe ;) ...course that boat'd look great cruisin' bout anywhere... ;) 8) ...

A friend told me last night that he has been there for snow skiing several times. He said with snow it's even more beautiful. I hope I get to find out someday. 8)
