PAGE FORMAT
It seems that without any input from me on my computer that I frequently have the page appearing to wide where I have to scroll side to side to read a post.
Am I doing something wrong or does it just do that for some unknown computer or web site gremlin reason? How do I fix it when I see it ??? |
Re: PAGE FORMAT
Happens to me sometimes, particularly when someone has posted a BIG pic, which widens the field.

Re: PAGE FORMAT
Yea I get that too, but it seems lately here and on the THT I get it a lot with just print format posts

Re: PAGE FORMAT
What is your screen resolution set at??
The lower the number the bigger the page. Mine is set at 1024 X 768 You get there by going to your desk top, right click and then hit the settings tab, it will show on the left bottom your setting. To change bigger or smaller jut slide the bar to the next setting and hit apply. Remeber your current setting so if you no like the results you can go back. all your Icons on your desk top will also be bigger or smaller also. |
Re: PAGE FORMAT
I'll try that MJ thanks

Re: PAGE FORMAT
Nah Oz I will try to enlighten and inform :)
You need to get yourself down to your local well stocked beverage dealer and go to the area where they keep Rum Look for a bottle called Pussers Naval Rum, it has been made in the same solid wood stills, yes wood for over three hundred years. It is what sailors in the British Isles and all their possessions called GROG. Up until the late 1970's before the politically correct navy came into being each sailor had a daily ration of this incredibly smooth and finest tasting Rum you have ever had. When you get home instead of mixing it with coke just try a little on the rocks. I'm a wuss sometimes so I add a tablespoon of coke to it. And enjoy ;) But OMG don't drink too much first time because it is 95 proof and will put hair on your chest right quick. And you would never know by the smooth taste. I slip the CFO some whenever I get the chance. There now I have done my good deed for mankind for the day I can rest 8) |
Re: PAGE FORMAT
willy, does that, or did it used to come in a fancy painted bottle?or a odd shape of a bottle?
|
Re: PAGE FORMAT
It is a different shaped bottle Phes, I dont remember it painted though. Rum being one of my favorite past times I have tried them all and there really isn't anything that tastes as nice or will perk you up quite as well.
About 20 years ago the owner of the oldest liqour store in town was going out of buisness, had been there for 40 years. Had a collection of stuff that was unbelievable. I used to take care of him as a patrolman and made sure when he closed up at night that all the sh!tbirds were dispatched from the area. He called me in one night and said for years you have been helping me out so I put together a little gift for you. Asked me where I parked my personal car in the lot and took my keys. Said there would be something in the trunk for me when I got off. Well I drove home and opened the trunk at midnight when I got off and holy crap did he take care of me. A case of Pussers Old navy a case of Jack Daniels and about thirty bottles of bourbon rum vodka and whiskeys. Most of which I had never even heard of. Four or five bottles of single malt Scotch. That I later found out were worth hundreds of dollars each. His name was John Ballocks and he left me a note that said all this stuff is great but my favorite is Pussers, hope you enjoy. He was right |

GREAT STORY WILLY YOU LUCK DAWG! My liver is getting jealous over reading this ::)
|
Re: PAGE FORMAT
Well Oz that would be an exageration. It would infer that I have a problem ::)
Nah as a matter of fact I still have one bottle left, it had a sticker on it from 1962, half gallon bottle of Bellows Club Kentucky Bourbon. Every once in awhile I pop the cap off and pour a shot, still good after all these years. Kinda milking that one for some reason. All the rest are gone though 8) |

Re: PAGE FORMAT
Way ahead of you Air, if you pick up some Pusser's Navy you can be very salty and say to the kids you are having a glass of Grog. Unless you fall down or breath hard on someone no one will have a clue ;D
