 A Mans House

As we all know, a man's house is his Castle....and or garage/repair shop. With this Castle is the King, "Me" ;D
I decide where I can and cant work on my V. So today, it's the kitchen and no women will deny my work space. ;D Now, do not deny these words of wisdom just because I might have had a few cold ones while doing the first coat of this crappy interlux paint, and the wifey went out of town for the weekend. ;D So grab your hobbies and repairs and drag them on into the house my V20 brothers and get to work. !!!!!!! ;D The King of the castle has spoken !! ;D At least until 5 pm Sunday. Thats when the wifey gets home and I better have my mess cleaned up. :-/ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...r/DSC02427.jpg |

At 32 bucks a quart for Interlux, Awl-Grip being more, I decided to use some left over Interlux paint that I had. But I had the best brushes and rollers you can get. So what happens, lint or whatever, parts of the strans of the roller get left in the paint. >:( >:( >:( >:(
	I HATE PAINTING !!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( |

At least your choice of beer is good. You might want to air out the house, I think the Mrs. will notice withing 250 milliseconds of walking through the front door.
As far as the roller goes, when I was in the Coast Guard, we just took a lighter and lightly ran the flame over the surface of the roller to "melt" the little fibers into the mat. It don't take much. |

 Re: A Mans House

the guy that does my fibergalss decks he wraps the rollers in blue masking tape and pull it off before they gelcoat

 Re: A Mans House

I used a foam roller to paint my transom and it turned out real nice. As I rolled it, there were a number of bubbles that came up because of the roller, but all I did was go back over it lightly with the roller and rolled them out. The end result looks pretty nice...
