Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
personally i only try to buy Hess/Wilco and mainly Flying J due to diesel and price
|
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
I have been sticking with SUNOCO.
There is a SUNOCO station that is within a three block radius of other conveinece stores (WAWA, Sheetz) so they keep the prices low to compete. |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
I'll walk to the next station if I'm out. Been on my own Citgo ban for quite awhile now.

Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
One Citgo here closed a couple of months back due to lack of sales. I have been told they are also selling on the markets and being sold as other independant brand name gas.
Me and my family have banned them for three or four years now, not sure when we started. Pieces of crap often rise to the top in poor third world nations, we have never been smart in who we sided with even in our own back yard. We have relegated our moral high ground to the back burner so that big buisness interests were always pursued no matter what happend to the people of these beautiful countries. What a shame, if we had done the right thing over the years we would be the most powerful hemisphere and a joy to travel around, people would have prospered and been free. Always a sore subject for me, reminds me of the phrase " I have seen the enemy and it is us" |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
You may see an e-mail coming around to boycot PETRO EXPRESS as they are just CITGO renamed.
They are not, they will not carry CITGO products. Check this link: http://sadbastards.wordpress.com/200...ps-citgo-gass/ |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
NO CITGOS WITHIN MILES OF ME, BUT I WOULD NOT BUY IT ANYWAY ;)

Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
I second what willy said.
Our entire country (once the land of milk and honey) is being sold down the river for a freakin' chinese dollar! *I'll stop now before I get on my soapbox. >:( |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
I have never used Citgo!! I use tyhe mom and pop places, or Christys or Cumbrland farms
|
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
Thanks for that info because I think Citgo is were I have been filling up so I guess I'll add them to my list. Another thing that I have been trying to do is to purchase "Made In America" products when I can. I have found that it can be tough but when I have the choice I'll spend a few extra $ to by them. We can't bash Corporations for exporting jobs if we are buying China etc.. products we are exporting jobs as well.

Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
Agreed Still, but my job depends on overseas jobs.
Now you are going to say what everyone else says, that's un- American, you take jobs away from us. Then I go into my shpeal, NO, all the work that I do is on products for local markets outside of the U.S. 1% of what I work on gets imported into the U.S. I am considered a corporate product engineer and my job is to make sure that our facilities overseas are following the customer directives as far as product specs go and following our corporate standard operating procedures. Our facilities look forward to my visits, because they want to get a good corporate report. |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
Was it on here or another forum?...Hugo's fixin' to take over (nationalize) EVERY petroleum producing facility in Ven. ... including those owned and being operated by Shell, BP and others...if I can find it, I'll put it here...it may have something to do w/ the current increases ... well, that and the fact that those who are profiting from world wide petroleum sales are greedy bass-turds ;) ...
...and for the record, I haven't bought Citgo in MANY years and instruct my children not to as well... ;) ... |

Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
I just read an article this morning about quality in the motor vehicle industry,
FORD is in a dead heat for second place with Toyota and Nissan. Number one is Honda. All three (T, N & H) can no longer be termed as imports as they import very few vehicles, most are made in the U.S. Here is a link to the article: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll...TO01/704180425 |
Re: Help to Boycott Citgo
