I need you to find the dishnetwork service center or a # for them in Spartanburg, I tried to Google them with no luck, I'm on my fifth reman unit in under two months, someone up there in qc needs a talking to! They pi$$ me off bad enough, I will drive up there with all this junk equipment and dump it on there lawn!

Spare, the only number I've ever had to call is 1-800-Directv...I'll look, but I don't think there IS a local number ;) ...

they give a Spartanburg address to send the bad units back, i tried to call customer service, all they will do is send me another reman unit, this will be the 5th in 6 weeks, someone is going to get an earfull

the only way they will send me new stuff is as an upgrade, which will cost me money(never did get a straight answer on how much), and they want me to sign an 18 month contract, I asked them,"would you sign a contract with a company that can't send out a single good product in 6 tries?" no answer to that one. If the next one doesn't work, I've been scouting the sale papers for Direct TV specials. I've been thrilled with my service till the original unit screwed up, lots of channels for a fair price, and having two DVR setups is great. But if they can't get it right, I'm moving on. I've been nice, but the last time I showed my a$$ when they wanted me to sign a contract to get a new unit.

btw, been meaning to ask since you have your boat at Hartwell, they used to have a big boat junkyard there with some good fresh water salvage, can't remember the name of the place, is it still there?

It was called Big Ed's...when I 1st got my "V", that's where I got a set of carbs for the '86 150 Rude that was on it ... OMC tech rebuilt 'em and it NEVER missed a lick in 5 years I ran that motor...

Big Ed's is no longer there :'( ...

got my replacement unit earlier this week, haven't had a chance to install it till tonight, guess what, wrong type sent, this is getting old, fast, this will be # 7 but who's counting. BTW the address for dish in Spartenburg is 525 Dunnet Ct. Spartanburg, SC 29303. I tried to Google it , and it doesn't even come up. Must be some mystery location, good thing, I've got some electronic junk that needs to be dropped off there >:(

Spare, that must be an old address...they just opened a NEW facility out on I-85, that looks like every truck in the upstate works out of ;) ...

All of these cable/dish companies have their problems. *I've been with Directv for a number of years (they've got a monopoly on the NFL package) and I've had trouble after trouble. *Each time I call, we get something out of it (free services, etc.). *I was gonna go fios with Verizon, but when I called to cancel my service with Directv, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. *I got a new HD satellite install, an extra room install, an HD receiver for free, and an HD DVR for cheap, plus HD programming for free for a year, plus Showtime free for a year, and some other stuff. *So, I'll give them one more year and see what happens. *

I take it Reel has Directv? *If so, if you sign up be sure to give him credit so that he'll get a discount on his next bill. *If not, mention me *;D

I'm actually pretty happy w/ Dir. TV... the menu beats the slop outta cable and there does seem to be more watchable stuff... :) ...
