Before and After
If you all remember, I decided to fix up my "V" that sunk June 06. After hours and hours of labor and lots of dollars on new power, I figured I would provide some "before after pics" of the '88 "V".
Console Before http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...iltconsole.jpg Console After http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/IMG_1084.jpg Motor Before http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...nluvr/ouch.jpg Motor After :Note the bracket and temporary fill of the 20" transom to 25". http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/IMG_1091.jpg Before Mulv's windshield http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...singshield.jpg After Mulv's Windshield: Hoping MJ will help me replace the plexi in the center. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/IMG_1082.jpg Lots of work left to do cosmetically. As for the motor, I got a deal on a 2004 Evinrude Ficht 150 with a 7 year warranty. It was a demo motor with 50 hrs that was never registered. Well, when I launched it ticked like a timebomb and I demanded a new powerhead. So now I have 0hrs and very quiet power. |
Re: Before and After
Great Pics. Hey are those back to back seats raised ??, they appear higher then the basic back to back seats.

Re: Before and After
LOOKS GREAT MAN, I GOTTA GIVE YOU A LOTTA CREDIT FOR STICKING WITH IT AND FIXING HER UP ;)

Re: Before and After
Hammer,
Yes the seats are higher than standard. They were custom seats that I managed to salvage after sinking. The guy I bought the boat from 5 years ago spent some buckson them. They had floated away and pounded in the surf and rocks but never ripped. The rear bench seat, however, did not fair as well. I will be repairing the seat back this weekend and reinstalling. Before pic for your pleasure: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/boatrear.jpg |
Re: Before and After

Re: Before and After
Hammer, here is the best part of having a bench on the V20. P.S. Please do not tell my wife (this is not her, lol)

Re: Before and After
My 250 has the mounts for a rear bench and the pins to secure it were in the cabin but the seat itself was MIA. Any chance of getting a picture of the seat frame and hardware so I can try to copy it? Better yet any one out there have an unwanted seat/frame or know the whereabouts of one?

Re: Before and After
Monkey,
I'll try to get some pics of the frame this weekend. It is pretty straight forward though. The release pins go through holes in the base rail and into the floor. |
