Im definitely selling my bracket!!
Ive have decided to sell my bracket and try to integrate my much needed livewell into a leaning post. Im thinking along the lines of something like this Todd setup.
http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com...es/5600569.jpg They are pricey though, so I am still looking at some other options. A guy I know is going to buy my bracket. He is going to give me 800.00 as it sits...barnacles and all. 8) |

I picked up mine used off a guy for $200. It was in excellent shape and also came with the livewell pump and plumbing. 8)

Re: Im definitely selling my bracket!!
My boat doesnt have an integral livewell either so I bought a portable one thats really nice. I put it in the boat when I need it and leave in home when I dont. Its also been handy for keeping bait alive prior to splashing the boat. I fish for trophy flounder around the CBBT and its about a 50 mile drive from my house to the boat ramp. Live bait can be hard to come by down there unless you spend half the day catching it so we go to a local seaside creek near my house and cast net finger mullet and small menhaden the night before or early in the morning before we head south to the CBBT. We just put the livewell in the back of the truck and run it off a spare battery until we get where we are going to fish and then we transfer it to the boat. We usually let about half the water out of it right before we transfer it to the boat and then we fill it again. This only takes a few minutes and reduces the weight enough to move it without killing yourself. It really works well and adds an extra bit of flexibility that we wouldnt have if the livewell was integral to the boat.. Just a thought.
Here is a link to the best portable livewells. They are expensive but well made and have filtration and insulation that most portables lack. http://www.creekboats.com/tank_home.htm |
Re: Im definitely selling my bracket!!
I have a small tank I made, like 25 gal, great for live bait and best of all it fits right under the old engin cover from the I/O.
Its always there so If I decide to get some bait I just pull it out! Works all day on my portable Jump Starter! |

I DO IT LIKE MC, I HAVE AN OVAL POLICARBONATE (?)
LIVE WELL AND I SET IT UP IN THE PLATFORM WITH THE PUMP HANGING OVERBOARD (WHEN NOT MOVING). IT WORKS WELL. LESTERUS |
