Re: HOW MANY DIFFERENT. . . . . . .
Before you go looking for another boat thats already set up for an outboard take a look at Ship Shape Tv's web site and find the the test between an outboard and a bracketed outboard. The test they ran shows the advantages of the bracket. They did it by testing the boat and then converting it to the bracket and retesting.

Charlie, whats up with your V, I thought you just bought it. Looks to be in real nice shape. Why the big conversion ideas to a bracket. Change over when the motor blows, but until then getter wet. ;)

Re: HOW MANY DIFFERENT. . . . . . .
nah hammer. just thinkin about the future.
the boat is cleaner than hell and runs like a scalded dog. however, in my haste to get her launched last season, i neglected some key areas. in my abbreviated season i suffered alot of outdrive corrosion. i now have to drop it, strip it and repaint it. i also must rebuild the trim rams, as the corrosion did a number on the seals. now all i have to do is find another 6 to 8 hours every day to work on the dam thing. im not sorry i bought it, because i can get it back, especially if i sell the top/enclosure separately, but i kinda wish it was outboard. we'll see what the next couple seasons bring. |
