Ouch! You gotta hate it when you got to drill several large holes in your new transom :( But the controlls have to be installed :) :) http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...aft2207073.jpg Now thats what I call a beefy transon. The plug is 2" thick! http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...aft2207074.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...aft2207075.jpg I got my son to come over and give me a hand. He is doing his best Picasso imitation. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...aft2207076.jpg The future 2ndChance crew :) http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...7/Aiden010.jpg |

Re: Ouch! Won't be long now. Keep up the good work. |

Re: Ouch! Noticed you have the rain fly up, or was it so you could work in the shade? Billy Mac ;D |
|
Re: Ouch! Started this morning partly cloudy. Then along came a good shower >:(, but I am on a mission so I threw up the tarp. Right now the V is still covered in anticipation of tomorrows ugly weather :(. |

Re: Ouch! The weather map looks nasty for you guys on the East coast. Your project looks really nice. I would think, and there I go again thinking, that the gas bulb would be easier to get to if it were on the out side? Billy Mac ;D |

Re: Ouch! Once I get the engine going again it wont be a problem. The motor has always been an easy starter (usually 1 or 2 oumps on the bulb) and I have to go into the enclosure any way to turn on the battery switch. |

Re: Ouch! Looking good there. ;) |

Re: Ouch! Its just WRONG to pay all that cash for a perfect transom then have to put a drill to it! >:( But I know how it is, I had to drill mine also!! Looks Good!! ;) |
|
Re: Ouch! It caused great pain when I started the drilling But then I thought about the end product. But it still hurt. ;D |
|
Re: Ouch! My heart fell watching you drill those holes. But your doing a fine job. Nice crew you got helping you. |

Re: Ouch! I don't think you used enough plywood in the transom, when you put the triple 300 Yamahas on there it might flex. |

Re: Ouch! A pair of 350's ;). Can you say Warp drive Scotty ;D. It's almost scary to think about it. |
|
Re: Ouch! looking good........ ;D did you glue the layers of plywood together?? |
|
Re: Ouch! All of the layers have to be laminated together for the transom to be strong. |
