BTW,

Anyone interested in replacement aluminum or stainless hatch liners?

I was thinking of making a new set. My friend is a metal fabricator who probably can duplicate the liners in alum or stainless.

Bait? Oil? Mini Cooler?

I didn't think those little lift out "trash cans" were big enough to hold much bait....
... and I never thought about storing oil in there.(duh - thanks)....
.. and I certainly didn't think they'd hold many cold ones.

So I figured they must be on-board recycling bins for the crushed up empties?

oh liners I don't have liners in mine they just go straight down into the hull holds lots more stuff that way but you have to have long arms or a really skinny kid to get things out of the bottom of them, Maybe i can build something or find something that will fit. any ideas what to do for liners.

Fillett1 , As of last year Wellcraft still had the linners in stock for the transom . If your friend can make them , I would like to get one made for my deck ( bilge access) .

I put a big piece of dense foam in one box and loaded it with trolling sinkers of several different sizes. cannon ball style and torpedo sinkers. The other side I use for debris and old fishing line.

Re: rear hatches/liners

I used one side for dock lines and the other for fishing odds and ends like sinkers and such. I just drilled a small hole in each one to forego storing the two cups of rain water like jaysea. ;D

As i have the big I/O, my bins make great ballyhoo defrosters or thermos' for keeping coffee nice and warm.
They also hold dock lines, drain plugs, and sometimes even live bait in the port one!
