Went off yesterday w/ buddy in Mt Pleasant aboard "Phatt Catt" 28' CC cat w/ twin 200 Optis...left marina 4:15 am ran til 6:30, lines in the water, 1st of 5 Blackfin Tuna hit w/in 10 mins...our biggest Blackfin was 31lbs...dock had just weighed 33.5lber for Trident Tourney...thems the breaks!...got 2 Wahoo, 30lbers...RUFF day :P...seas 4x4....bumpy even inna cat...but still better than work!... ;) ;D

That's a 31lb Blackfin...went to weigh him for local tourney...33.5 beat me to the scales...state record is 39lbs... :D...sampled some sushi on the dock...yum... ;D

You will need to check with Bigshrimpin . It used to be a case of 50-1 oil . I'm not sure what he is doing now...

It used to be a scup trip w/ MJ ::)...I didn't win anything...but now I know god is dog spelled backwards...as in; "the god wagged his liat..." or somethin' like that... :o

CT, I had on two shirts, even a pair of socks...oh and new V20 sweat....not a warm day, but I was toasty... ;D...2 hours to the hole at 26 kts gets a little breezy...thank gawd for da beanbags...the ONLY way to ride... ;) ;D...

RAP, You may have had to bundle up, but at least you've got fish to catch. It'll be a couple more weeks at least here. I am truley envious. ;D

Yeah, BR...hooz are ALWAYS a run...bummer came when a real NICE one peeled a 9/0 wire line...Chad grabbed up the rod, fish turned toward the boat...reeled like mad, but never felt him again...strong fish to make one of those SING OUT!!... ;) ;D...

Wish V20 could get out to where those guys swim...might have to get my hands on one of those V30s BS posted earlier...man, would I like to have the $$$ to take one of those and make it ready to run 60-75 mi off...couple of 250 Zuki 4 strokes would do it...dream on... ;D...

My bud had a 26 World Cat with 200 suzis on the back. That thing would fly through the rough chop offshore.

F1, yeah cats ARE great, but we were at a gunfight w/a pocketknife the other day...there's always the condition "too rough" for ANY boat and we got caught in it...still better than a day on the bank... ;D...plus we got some good fish... ;)...

I was gonna add (at the risk of unintentionally insulting your buds ride) that Cats SUCK for trolling. The flat area between the hulls constantly "slaps" the water when trolling and the boat gets an abrupt slam in its motion. Thats why my friend traded his for a 29 Blackfin Flybridge which was really a good boat. (Except for the volvo diesels which I wont get into now. ;))

F1, as many times as I've been on this cat I've never seen it slap the bottom...and Brother, believe me when I tell you if it was gonna do it, it woulda done it the other day...RUFF!...really, we trolled for hours straight into "it" to better our position for the run in...this one no slap... ;) ;D...
