New member here.
Hello all. I met Franco at the car wash and he had a V20 shirt on and he invited me here.
I was washing my 1985 V-20 cc and he was washing his new boat and told me about the site. I did not know it existed, but I am excited about it and will seek and post info here. Here is my boat that I have owned for about 18 months and a couple fish caught off it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wellcraft4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...5wellcraft.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wellcraft3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...3/998223ec.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...3/64a6710e.jpg |

Re: New member here.
I brought my screen name from Alaska, I spent 16 years there. Anchorage-13 yrs. and Juneau-3 yrs. I really enjoyed the fishing there.
My boat has outriggers and a downrigger (which is deadly on mahi's), but sshhhhh, keep it on this forum. Let all those other guys fish the surface only. We like to slow troll live baits if we are in a real fishy area. A bait 30-50 feet down picks up a lot of fish. We also have a couple on the outriggers and a couple flat lines. Yes, we are busy. But it works. The 25 HP kicker is a real fuel saver and we can slow troll all day on 3 gallons of fuel. Not to mention the safety to putt back in if needed. Other days we will drag dead skirted ballyhoos (Love the Billy Baits for this). My goal is to nail some wahoo this summer, have not been able to catch one yet. Put a new Foruno 600L color FF on board and the boat came with a non working Garmin GPS Map 162 which we sent back to Garmin with $99 and got a brand new or extremely new condition refurbished one. We also have a kite set up for sails when we will drag her to Palm Beach or Jupiter. Thanks for all the welcomes and, look forward to meeting some of you in the future. Franco, I will shoot you a message soon. Thanks for the offer to help. |
