Lost Prop

Was heading out to do a dive today. Took a few muscle relaxers to kill the neck pain, but never made it. Was flagged down by a big charter boat that broke a shaft and lost its prop. So instead of looking for lost treasure ;D , I went diving for a bronze prop and shaft.
The bottom was completely black with a strong bottom current (Delaware Bay). Spent an hour on the bottom searching, but with no luck. :-[ :-[ :-[

Thats a shame. Those big boys have got some bucks tied up in props. I'd bet that after haul out, new shaft, and prop work he's lookin at 4k or better. That and good props raise fish and are worth there weight in gold. I even know crews who have had a diver to switch wheels for them mid week in a tournament when not getting the bites.

Corrosion was most likely culprit.
