When I pulled my boat out couple weeks ago I notice that when we took the plug out , the whole threaded part started to spin before the plug came loose ...... I know its something that will have to be addressed when we soda blast the bottom.....has anyone else run across this problem?????

Re: heres a question

first signs of water intrusion, remove the plug assembly, let it dry out good, reinstall with Life Caulk, rotate the garboard plug so you have new places for the screws to bite

yeah, all you have to do is cut the brass tube out with a hole saw just big enough to remove it, seal up the raw wood and glass with resin or epoxy( use a small acid brush and thin the resin), then install a garboard plug over the hole with a good sealant
