4 V20 family now.
 

Will be picking up my fourth V20 soon. I have talking with this one guy about borrowing his hatch so I can make a copy from it and he has been trying to sell me the boat for a couple of hundred dollars. He finally said if I wanted to borrow the hatch I had to take the whole boat for a dollar. I believe it is a 74 model that had the I/O removed. Any one close to Texas that needs a windshield? Will post pics one day.

It's been a while since I seen the boat. The trailer was not in the best of shape and may need the whole day to get it ready to drag home.

I don't know why he removed the I/O but none of the parts are there. I just want the boat for the sliding hatch.

I am sure you can find someone to buy the windshield, there is usually 2 or 3 people looking for one ;)

To bad there isn't a lot of parts to sell off these old boats. Hatch, Windshield, and bow rail, cleats. Thats it, rest goes to the chipper :'(

Post it in the for sale section the windshield and copied hatch, you might make enough to off set the time and effort of going to get it and dispose of its body later.

Axe, I am desperately seeking a windshield for my 88. Unfortunately, I am in MA. What would it take to get you to sell it, including shipping? $250? I assume it will fit.

I thought the windshields from the 70's to the 80"s were slightly differnt. ???

I stopped and looked at the boat on the way to work today and all four tires are flat and dry rotted. The out drive is still mounted on the boat along with some other parts. The tanks are pulled out and laying in the boat and I may use them since the tabs that screw the tanks down on mine are missing. Some of the glass on the windshield is in poor condition but the frame appears good. This boat is a 74 model.

Hammer, I've noticed the bulkhead under the windshield changed...like mine, the earlier models extended aft, longer than the w'shield...later, that bulkhead was shortened and tapers off at the end of the w'shield...havin said all that about the bulkhead UNDER the w'shield, I don't think the w'shield itself changed...never actually compared or measured, but you make a good point that oughtta be checked B4 shippin'... ;)

Axe, let me know if you get it and if you're willing to ship the windshield. I am still open to price suggestions. I am really excited, I just found out that I can add a T&H jacking bracket to make my transom a 25" again fro $100. That means I am leaning towards repairing my boat and repowering. I'll want a windshield that fits rather than the custom one I bought.
