Re: SEA BASS
You telling me that pretty lady allowed you to ravage her on the V out on the water, poor thing. You Dawg ;)
Hey Capt, Sea Bass the same thing as Black Bass right, also called RockFish here in Jersey? |
Re: SEA BASS
;D :-X
Yeah black and sea are the same bass....but rockfish - that's gotta be striped bass! |
Re: SEA BASS
In Delaware, rock fish is strped bass.
Black Sea Bass, I wish I would pay attention when I go on the charter trips, our capt'n always goes to a marked area just off the coast between Jersy and Delaware. We end up with a cooler full of them. Excellent eating and not bad even after being frozen a while. |
Re: SEA BASS
Down south maybe, I was pulling the black/sea bass out down on Manasquan Inlet, they hang right in the rocks. Pulled one out and the fellow next to me called it Rock Fish.
I don't know, but they sure tasted good ;) |

Re: SEA BASS
They love the rocks!! seaworms or squid are the bait of choice here. But some use crab also.
Don';t much for gear 5 pounds is a big fish for these guys!! I use Gammy Octopus for most all my fish and for these I like a 2/0 thats it from were I go. Good luck |
Re: SEA BASS
IF YOU WANT TO CATCH THEM USE LIVE BAIT ANY SMALL LIVE FISH WILL WORK ;D
