I am at work till 8 AM, But the wind flying and stuff I was watching TV, Heard a noise ? *I go look out front and there is part of a tree across my TRUCK!! >:(

Went out took a quick look, looks like it might have just feel between my truck, and the state van? *with a bunch of smaller twigs all over the truck? To Dark to tell.

As soon as it gets light I will take some crap pic, with my cell, and post later.

Re: The Storm!

Hey MJ, I run several departments at a car dealership, one of them is the body shop. You need to check your policy, that should be covered under the comprehensive part of your insurance. Ck you policy, a lot of times there is no deductible on comp. And it shouldn't cause your rates to go up. Looks like your gonna need a hood and fender, blend the door and a pillar area to repair. They can overnight the parts at the dealer, should be about a 4 day repair!

Seacrets 04-16-2007 09:18 PM

Re: The Storm!

Push your employer for their insurance to cover and if you have to, ask them to pay your deductable. That stinks.

parishht 04-16-2007 10:50 PM

Re: The Storm!

I know from experiance that will not be covered by the facilty insurance.
I had guests at my house and one of my trees fell on the cars.
I argued in all directions I could and my homeowners would not cover the damage.
I even asked if that means that if a tree falls on my house
it would not be covered?
That was a different story.

Insurance is such a racket.

Re: The Storm!

We lost a couple of trees here and a large limb fell on the back porch while I was sleeping, around 11am, woke me up.

Sorry to see and hear about your truck, but look at it this way, at least it was'nt a ford, that would be a shame to see a good truck get hit. ;D ;D

macojoe 04-17-2007 03:25 AM

Re: The Storm!

Thanks guys!! On top of ll this I am sick as hell!! Fever chills, ect ect,

Franco, I have to pay the $500, But I will get no points so the Ins rates will not go up.

parishht, your right I called work today and they called me back, They no have Ins for this Act of God! >:(

I guess the plan is going to be get the check, and go around to see who can fix for the amout the Ins co. gives me?

and you are right!! Ins, is the biggest racket there is!!

Re: The Storm!

I had a tree fall across my garage January 06 during a strom like this one. Insurance covered it all. Even gave me more when I proved it was a commerical grade building instead of residintial.

Re: The Storm!

Turbo, that is what my insurance company told me,
if it falls on a building that is named in the policy,
then covered.

Last summer, I had another tree fall across a road and take out my
neighbors fence, my insurance was going to cover that,
but because of my deductible, I decided to pay out of my pocket.

I did the fix myself with better materials than before,
the Bi$6h didn't like it, and wanted me to pay for
a more expensive fix with inferior materials,
of course you can guess what I said...

macojoe 04-17-2007 11:19 AM

Re: The Storm!

WOW that was a much biggger tree then the one fell on me!! LOL

O well its only money I get payed again next week and the week after that and so on! ;)

My fever broke over night an I feel much better this morning!

macojoe 04-18-2007 12:54 PM

Re: The Storm!

$1586 for the repairs, My Ins will give me $1086, so I guess I will have to look arond a bit for some one to fix it for that.

parishht 04-18-2007 01:44 PM

Re: The Storm!

Re: The Storm!

MAN, I KNOW THEM FOOT SURGERIES SUCK. MY WIFE (BLESS HER HEART) JUST HAD SURGERY ON HER FOOT. SHE HAD A SCIST REMOVED FROM THE BALL OF HER FOOT. THE DOCTOR SAID IT WAS MORTONS NUEROMA. IT WAS BASICALLY A KNOT ON THE SLEEVE OF THE NERVE IN THE BOTTOM OF HER FOOT. THEN TO TOP THAT OFF SHE LIMPED INTO THE GYM THE OTHER DAY TO DO SOME UPPER BODY WORKOUTS AND DROPPED A 25 LB WEIGHT ON HER GOOD FOOT! :o NOW SHES LIMPING AROUND ON BOTH OF THEM. AS FAR AS THE BODY WORK DEAL IF YOU WAS DOWN HERE BY ME I COULD HELP YA OUT. I HAVE A COUPLE DIFFERENT FRIENDS IN THAT LINE OF WORK. YA KEEP POKE'N AROUND YOU WILL FIND SOMEONE. YOU COULD ORDER YOUR FENDER , HOOD AND MIRROR AFTERMARKET AND SAVE ALOT OF MONEY. INSTALL THEM YOURSELF WHICH IS'NT TO HARD (AGGREVATING I KNOW) AND JUST PAY SOMEONE TO SPRAY IT. MIGHT WORK OUT CHEAPER FOR YA THAT WAY. ANOTHER ROUTE WOULD BE TO GET YOUR PARTS FROM A JUNK YARD (JUST A THOUGHT) GOOD LUCK WITH IT. BY THE WAY THATS A NICE TRUCK YA GOT THERE. LOOKS JUST LIKE MINE!
